In this video the Governor of Benin State in Nigerian, tells a widow "you are a widow, go and die" for hawking or selling stuff by the road side which is probably against the law of that State. Instead of just melting out whatever punishment is due or letting her go with a strict warning he says go and die ignoring all her plea.
After much attack from the media and various women organizations calling out to him, he apologizes to this woman over coffee , gives her the sum of 2 million naira and offers her a job. This may lighten the woman's grief and getting the public to back down but did his gesture really correct his attitude? Does this really make up for his cruel words to her? please leave your thoughts on this.
Its very awful how women r degenerated and treated badly by men and society.its bad enough that in this part of d world d woman is treated as 2nd class citizen and it has 2 stop.no matter d amount of apologies and money offered by d gov of edo state 2 dis widowed woman,his actions r not excused,thank God 4 social media
